About this opportunity
Our client is seeking to employ a Casualty Broker at the Vice President level on the Casualty team of company Insurance Brokerage Division.
Your daily responsibilities and impact:
- Design, placement, negotiation and servicing of Bermuda based markets writing Casualty coverage
- Preparation and presentation of proposals for renewal and new business opportunities
- Considerable interaction with clients, senior underwriters and overseas executives
- Any other duties of a similar nature as identified by senior management
- Business travel and frequent client entertainment outside of normal business hours
What you’ll need
- A university degree (with a major in business or insurance preferable) or an insurance related qualification (CPCU /ACII /ARM /CIP)
- 10+ years of recent experience with an emphasis on major North American commercial accounts across a wide variety of industry classes
- Expertise in occurrence, occurrence-reported and claims-made liability policy forms
- Practical judgement and decision-making skills in immediate situations
- Well-developed business, communication, teamwork and social skills together with capabilities for strengthening market relationships
- Strong interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills
- Strong digital literacy, specifically with Microsoft Office Software, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Webex
